ESPN: Portland Trail Blazers Should Build Around Deni Avdija
ESPN analysis suggests Portland Trail Blazers should build their revamped roster around Israeli forward Deni Avdija as they approach the new NBA season.

Portland Prepares for Final Preseason Match
Portland Trail Blazers are set to play their final preseason game early Saturday against the Golden State Warriors, whom they previously defeated on the road earlier this month. ESPN analysts have reviewed the roster dynamics, highlighting positive prospects for Israeli forward Deni Avdija.
Analyst Ben Golliver noted that Damian Lillard's return provides a major boost for Portland following a challenging summer. Despite missing last year due to an Achilles tendon injury, the veteran star has shown sharp shooting during the preseason.
Optimizing the Roster Around Deni Avdija
"Moving Ja Morant to the bench might also benefit Deni Avdija, who should be treated as the central player around whom the revamped roster is built," Golliver wrote.
Head coach Micah Nori faces decisions regarding backcourt rotations. While Lillard, Avdija, Toumani Camara, and Donovan Clingan appear to have secured their places in the starting lineup, experimentation continues ahead of the regular season opener.
