Careful planning, real-time video call and destruction of evidence: murder of Binyahu Razi in Nachlaot solved
The State Attorney's Office will file murder charges this morning against those involved in the brutal attack at an Airbnb apartment in Jerusalem. The investigation reveals a picture of prior organization, arming with a meat mallet and knives, and a live broadcast of the murder via video call. The suspects expressed no remorse for their actions during their interrogation.
Indictments will be filed this morning (Friday) against those involved in the murder of Binyahu Razi (of blessed memory), which occurred on July 11 at a vacation apartment in the Nachlaot neighborhood of Jerusalem. Most of the suspects will be charged with murder, while Linor Sasson faces charges of obstruction of justice and accessory after the fact. Police investigators note that during their interrogations, the suspects expressed no remorse for the murder and their harsh actions.
Escape, claims of violence, and organization
The incident began on the weekend of July 11. Agam Tsarfi and Shilat Huta rented an Airbnb apartment in Nachlaot. On Saturday afternoon, the two young women fled the apartment and went to the home of Linor Sasson, where they showed signs of bruising to Linor and the boys present, claiming they had been attacked. In the apartment, a rapid organization of the group began, including arming themselves with clubs, knives, and a meat mallet. Simultaneously, the group discussed their intentions toward Binyahu Razi, while Agam and Shilat made direct threats against his friend, Matanya.
The trip to the scene and the live broadcast
Linor Sasson picked up seven passengers in her car and drove toward the apartment in Nachlaot. Throughout the drive, harsh threats were made against Binyahu and Matanya, causing them to fear for their lives and leave the apartment. They later returned to retrieve personal items. Upon the group's arrival, the four boys broke into the apartment. From the moment Shilat Huta exited the car until the end of the fatal incident, a continuous video call was maintained. Agam Tsarfi and Linor Sasson watched the attack live from the car, with Linor providing real-time instructions to the attackers.
The four boys brutally attacked Binyahu and Matanya and fled. Matanya, who was also stabbed, attempted to provide emergency treatment to his dying friend and called MADA. Police initially detained Matanya upon arrival, but released him after realizing he was a victim.
The escape, arrests, and evidence
Immediately after the attack, Linor assisted the attackers in fleeing. Within three hours, police arrested six suspects, and later tracked down Avior Sasson. Although the live video call was not recorded, investigators possess screenshots, documentation of the group's movements, and text correspondence confirming prior planning. The murder weapon has not yet been found.
Police note that bruises were found on both the women and the attacking boys, indicating a complex relationship preceding the murder. A total of 15 people were investigated in connection with the incident.
Major Rotem Hila Zion, head of the investigation bureau in the Zion area of the Jerusalem District, stated: "It was important for us to hold everyone accountable who had a part in the murder. Today, indictments were filed against seven, but we will continue to exhaust the proceedings against others involved."
