Former Israeli Football Star Pini Balili Joins Kan 11 Current Affairs Panel

Former Israeli football star Pini Balili is embarking on a new career chapter, signing a contract with Kan 11 to join the afternoon current affairs show hosted by Yifat Glick and Tamar Almog as a regular panelist.

From Football Pitch to TV Studio

Known for his glory days playing for Hapoel Tel Aviv and the Israeli national team, Balili has more recently transformed into a social media phenomenon. His motivational quotes and styling tips turned him into a viral sensation, even inspiring a famous satirical parody on "Buba shel Layla".

"I have been posting this content for years, and while some inspirational quotes are my own, others come from various sources," Balili explained in a 2023 interview.

Expanding Public and Media Presence

Beyond his digital fame and advertising campaigns—including a notable 2024 appearance with Shimon Amsalem for Maccabi Healthcare Services—Balili has dedicated significant time to public service. Following the tragic events of October 7, he became deeply involved with the Nova community association, serving as sports relations manager and accompanying survivors and wounded victims.

Now, the former striker is ready for a different kind of lineup in the television studio, bringing his unique voice and perspective to daily current affairs discussions alongside Glick and Almog.
