Petah Tikva Resident Indicted for Threatening Police Officer
An indictment was filed at the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court against a local resident who threatened to attack a neighboring police officer after being told the station legal advisor was absent.
The Sharon region prosecution branch filed an indictment today (Wednesday) at the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court against a local resident, charging him with making threats.
According to the indictment, the incident occurred about a week ago during morning hours when the defendant arrived at the Petah Tikva police station. He asked to speak with the station's legal advisor, but the officer on duty explained that the legal advisor was not present.
In response, the defendant stated he was not receiving assistance and threatened a police officer he knows who lives in his neighborhood. The defendant told the station officer: "The officer will pay for this, I will put a paving stone on his head and in his car, and if necessary I will stab him." Following these remarks, the defendant was arrested on the spot, and the indictment has now been officially submitted.
