A wave of complaints has emerged against Pango, with many customers reporting that the company has been charging them for Pango Simple or Pango Smart services at a fixed monthly rate without their explicit consent. According to a report by Efrat Nomberg-Yunger on the "Mako" website, the company offers a premium service that includes parking reminders, fast payment, and a "Where is my car" navigation feature.

The service costs 9.90 NIS per month per vehicle for the Pango Simple plan, while the Pango Smart plan costs 15.90 NIS. Many customers claim they joined the service by mistake during moments of inattention.

Users report that every time they open the app to activate routine parking, a pop-up advertisement appears. The interface features two buttons: a large "Yes" and a small "No." Consequently, many users accidentally click the wrong button and subscribe to the service.

Customers also report difficulties in canceling the subscription, noting that it cannot be done quickly through the app, often requiring a tedious process through customer support.

How to check if you are registered for the service:

  1. Enter your personal area in the app.

  2. Select the "My Account" category.

  3. Click on the "Services" section to see if Pango Simple or Pango Smart is active.

  4. If you are paying for one or more vehicles, a notification will appear.

In response, Pango stated:

"Joining Pango Simple and Smart services is done digitally, with the terms of service and pricing presented, and customer consent obtained. Pango does not add customers to paid services without their consent. The company allows service cancellation through various channels and is constantly working to improve and simplify the process for its millions of customers."
