The retail chain Oshers Ad is breaking the market with a one-kilogram package of honey at a competitive price, while other popular brands are sold for double or more for a much lower weight.
Less than two weeks before the holiday, the Oshers Ad chain is stepping up its efforts in the battle for the Rosh Hashanah shopping basket, presenting notable promotions in the honey category. The chain offers a variety of sizes at different prices, with the most intriguing promotion being a one-kilogram package of pure honey from "Malkat HaDvash" ("Queen of Honey"), sold for only 12.90 NIS.
However, a visit to the branch reveals significant price gaps between various products and brands. Honey from "Michveret Emek Hefer" weighing 700 grams is offered at 19.90 NIS, both in a regular package and in a squeeze bottle. In contrast, "Yad Mordechai" honey is sold at a higher price: a 650-gram squeeze bottle and a 700-gram package of the same brand are both priced at 27.90 NIS.
The price gaps illustrate how much the choice between brands and packaging types can affect the final bill. While a kilogram of honey under the promotion is sold for 12.90 NIS, other products with a lower weight reach a price of 27.90 NIS. For customers who are not committed to a specific brand, this difference makes the promotion one of the most prominent deals in the holiday basket.
