Retail chain Oshers Ad is offering beach towels from a well-known sports brand for only 9.90 NIS, significantly undercutting market prices.
Shoppers accustomed to high price tags on well-known sports brands were surprised by a promotion currently at Oshers Ad: a Speedo beach towel is being offered for only 9.90 NIS.
This price stands out sharply when compared to other sales channels.
A check on the official Speedo Israel website reveals that the brand's beach towels are currently priced at 89.90 NIS per unit. The site features various colors, including red, pink, turquoise, navy blue, black, and light blue, all at that price point.
This means the price at Oshers Ad is about 80 NIS lower than on the official website, a difference of nearly 89%. In effect, the cost of one towel on the official site could purchase nine towels at the promotional price at Oshers Ad, with change to spare.
A comparison with other retailers highlights the gap. On the Next Israel website, a 100% cotton Speedo towel is listed at a promotional price of 68 NIS, down from 136 NIS. Even against this discounted price, 9.90 NIS is exceptionally low.
It is important to note that it cannot be confirmed whether these are the exact same models, dimensions, or fabric compositions as those sold on the Speedo website or by other retailers. The comparison is based on the brand name rather than identical product specifications.
