Orian Goren has kicked off the new season in impressive fashion with Barcelona Atlètic, the Catalan club's reserve team. The 17-year-old Israeli midfielder started in the lineup for the 5-0 victory over Naxara in the opening round of Spain's fourth division, assisting the third goal with his chest and earning high praise on the club's official website.

In the post-match summary, the club's official portal lauded the Israeli, describing him as "a magician in the center of the pitch."

Catalan media also highlighted his contribution. Sport pointed out his superb assist, while Mundo Deportivo emphasized his precise chest pass to Quer before the striker completed his hat-trick.

Building on a Strong Preseason

This performance continues a successful summer for Goren, during which he had the opportunity to train and play with the senior squad. The midfielder was among the youth and reserve players called up by Hansi Flick for the start of preseason training.

In late July, Goren made his first-team debut in a friendly against Birmingham, coming on for Marc Casadó after the hour mark. Barcelona's official website praised him at the time under the headline "Orian Goren shows class," noting that he made 36 appearances for the youth team last season, scoring four goals and providing one assist.

Goren continued to get minutes during the preparation period, including an appearance in the 2-1 win over Egypt's Al Ahly in the Joan Gamper Trophy. Now back with Barcelona Atlètic, he has secured a spot in the starting lineup, starting the season with an assist and further recognition from the club.
