Reality Star Noya Arieli Opens Up About Severe Postpartum Depression
Reality star Noya Arieli opened up about suffering from severe postpartum depression after welcoming her first child, describing the overwhelming challenges of new motherhood and relationship strains.

About six months after reality star Noya Arieli, 29, and Dor Taub, 33, welcomed their firstborn son, Sean Shimshon, Arieli opened up on Tuesday about the complex and exceptionally difficult period she experienced following the birth.
Responding to a Q&A session on Instagram about whether she experienced postpartum blues or lows, Arieli answered with brutal honesty: "What lows? I was depressed, wow, what depression I had. It was very difficult for me. Also in terms of the relationship, also in terms of the new situation, and in terms of my appearance."
Arieli continued, describing the sharp transition: "All the hormones drop, get mixed up, and your body is not your own. You are busy around the clock. I was entirely occupied with breastfeeding him, not understanding what is happening to him, and colic. There was a terrible dejection."
She noted that her condition has since improved, and what helped her bounce back were the small, familiar things from her pre-motherhood routine: going out, having activities related to her old routine, working out, or meeting friends.
Her comments echo what her husband Dor Taub shared in a July interview with mako celebs. Taub admitted that the birth shook their relationship and made him feel pushed aside, while also acknowledging the immense pressure his wife was under.
