Netanyahu Unveils GTA-Themed Campaign Video Mocking Opposition Rivals
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a viral GTA-themed campaign video mocking his political rivals, as political tensions mount ahead of the upcoming elections.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched a new phase in the Likud election campaign, publishing a satirical video on his Instagram account utilizing themes from video games and artificial intelligence. Drawing inspiration from the popular Grand Theft Auto series, the prime minister joked that Eisenkot and Lieberman would establish a Palestinian state before GTA 6 is finally released.
Inside the Video Game Parody
The humorous clip, styled directly after the popular game interface, depicts former minister Gadi Eisenkot walking through the streets of Tel Aviv and receiving a text message from a hidden number urging him to steal votes from the right. Eisenkot is then given a new mission to collect right-wing votes at Dizengoff Square, embarking on a wild journey that includes a reckless car ride with Avigdor Lieberman, swimming with dolphins, and skydiving from a tower.
At the conclusion of the mission, Eisenkot arrives at a luxury penthouse and hands the sack of votes to Ra'am chairman Mansour Abbas. The video then displays the classic WASTED failure screen, concluding with game-cover style posters: one featuring Netanyahu under the title "Right", and another featuring his political opponents under the title "Palestine".
Public Reactions and Political Context
"A crazy report about a failed, arrogant prime minister who ignored all warnings from security chiefs for months before the October 7 massacre," wrote media personality Barak Sari on X.
Netanyahu's campaign move comes amid mounting public and media controversy regarding his handling of security warnings prior to October 7. Media reports and investigations continue to fuel intense political debate as parties gear up for the upcoming Knesset elections.
