Netanyahu Addresses UN General Assembly, Declares Israel Will Win the War
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the UN General Assembly in New York, declaring that Israel will win the war while Arab and Muslim delegations walked out.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered his address at the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday, addressing the ongoing war, the events of October 7, and Israel's steadfast commitment to continuing the military campaign.
Ahead of his speech, Arab and Muslim delegations walked out of the hall in protest. In response, the Prime Minister stated from the podium: "Cowards."
"Our enemies expected us to collapse; instead, we rose and fought like lions," Netanyahu declared. He emphasized that this resilience was never more clearly demonstrated than on October 7, which he described as the darkest day in Israel's history.
Netanyahu also referenced his late brother, Yoni Netanyahu, who was killed during Operation Entebbe. "My brother was the only one killed in the operation. I want to thank Uganda once again for placing a monument at the site where he fell," he said, concluding with a quote from his brother: "Yoni's words remain as true today as they were half a century ago. We are going to win, we have no other choice."
