Central Election Committee Chairman, Supreme Court Justice Noam Solberg, ruled today (Sunday) that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu misused public resources for election campaign purposes. Following the decision, the prime minister was ordered to pay 29,000 shekels in personal legal expenses.

The Central Election Committee upheld five out of six petitions concerning publications by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, determining that state resources were improperly utilized for campaign propaganda in several instances. Justice Solberg specifically addressed publications based on Netanyahu's visits and meetings with IDF soldiers and commanders.

Netanyahu was ordered to pay a total of 29,000 shekels in costs: 10,000 shekels to the 'Vohrim BeYisrael' association, 7,000 shekels to the 'Mishmar HaDemokratia' organization, 7,000 shekels to the 'Bou' association, and an additional 5,000 shekels jointly to the Prime Minister's Office and the Attorney General.
