Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he has instructed professionals to prepare plans for creating a sanctions-evading economic system based on blockchain technology. These remarks were made in an interview with Channel 10, against the backdrop of Israel preparations for the possibility of international economic boycotts and banking restrictions.

The Prime Minister identifies the economic threat as a realistic scenario and is working to find technological solutions that will allow the Israeli economy to continue functioning even under global pressure. In the interview, Netanyahu clarified that the traditional banking system is vulnerable to damage, and therefore an alternative financial path is required. "We need to organize an economy that bypasses banking sanctions," he noted. "Blockchain is an alternative; I have asked to prepare plans for this."

The directive to examine blockchain, a technology that forms the basis of virtual currencies and smart contracts, is designed to create a mechanism for advance preparation. Such a decentralized financial system could enable money transfers and trade management outside the control of the world central financial institutions that might implement sanctions against Israeli companies and entities.

The statement marks the integration of advanced economic technologies not only as a growth engine for local high-tech, but as a strategic tool to maintain state stability. At this stage, it has not yet been published which factors are responsible for formulating the government program, what budget was allocated to it, and when it will actually be implemented.
