Israeli fintech company Nayax is expanding its presence in the United States by entering the fuel station retail market, which generated approximately $450 billion in 2025. The strategic move is being executed through a partnership with Allied Electronics, a veteran firm operating in the US fuel sector since 1978, which will distribute Nayax payment terminals directly to gas pumps.

Fueling US Market Expansion

The expansion comes against the backdrop of shifting consumer payment habits in the US. Today, 81% of transactions at fuel pumps are conducted using credit cards, compared to just 64% a decade ago. For station operators, this evolution increases the urgency to upgrade infrastructure and payment technology.

Under the collaboration, Allied Electronics will market Nayax's "VPOS Media 5" terminal, specifically adapted for fuel pump environments. Allied Electronics' technology is already deployed across tens of thousands of sites nationwide, and combined with Nayax's solution, it provides fuel retailers with a comprehensive end-to-end payment system.

Market Potential and Strategic Growth

Market potential remains substantial. According to NACS data, approximately 80% of retail fuel in the US is purchased through convenience store locations, matching the massive $450 billion sales volume recorded in 2025. Nayax's dedicated fuel division, Nayax Fuel, relies on technology integrated following previous mergers with OTI PetroSmart and Roseman.

"The US fuel sector is undergoing a profound modernization process... Nayax completes our solution suite with a payment terminal specifically developed for the fueling environment," said Bob Dunford, Engineering and Development Director at Allied Electronics.

This initiative follows another major US milestone for Nayax. Just days prior, the company finalized a $350 million acquisition of the American group IPS, marking a significant entry into the smart parking market and expanding its autonomous commerce capabilities.
