National Insurance Launches Hotline for Israelis Abroad and Advances Benefits
The National Insurance Institute announced a dedicated hotline for Israelis abroad operating in three languages. Additionally, benefit payments for September will be advanced ahead of the Tishrei holidays.

Israelis staying abroad who need services from the National Insurance Institute do not have to wait until they return to Israel. The National Insurance Institute announced on social media that a dedicated telephone hotline is available for callers from abroad, through which a variety of services and information can be obtained.
Services Available from Abroad
The National Insurance Institute stated, "We are here even when you are abroad," and reminded the public that the hotline is intended for anyone outside Israel who needs to speak with representatives of the institution. The hotline phone number is +972-8-9369669, and it operates Sunday through Thursday, between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Telephone service is provided in three languages: Hebrew, English, and Russian. The National Insurance Institute notes that through the hotline, callers can receive general information, personal information and inquiries, order certificates, payment vouchers and forms, check debts, and pay insurance contributions.
"We are here even when you are abroad," stated the National Insurance Institute, highlighting the launch of the dedicated international hotline.
Identification and Limitations
To receive telephone service, callers must prepare their identity card number and secret code in advance. The institute notes that a secret code can be issued directly through the website, allowing callers to prepare in advance and save time during the call.
Those who do not have a secret code, or cannot issue one, can still receive service. In such cases, the caller will be asked to answer several identification questions to ensure as much as possible that personal information is not disclosed to unauthorized parties.
However, the National Insurance Institute clarifies that certain actions cannot be performed via the telephone hotline. Among other things, claims or documents cannot be submitted, and changes to personal details cannot be reported over the phone.
In cases where submitting documents or a claim is required, the institute's online services can be used. On the website, documents can be sent directly to an official and claims can be submitted online.
Advance Payments Ahead of Tishrei Holidays
Another piece of news for eligible recipients ahead of the Tishrei holidays: the National Insurance Institute announced the advance payment of a series of allowances during September, ahead of Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot.
According to the announcement, unemployment benefits and income support for September will be paid earlier than planned due to Rosh Hashanah, moved from September 14 to September 8, an advance of 6 days. Later in the month, another advance will take place for Sukkot. Long-term allowances will be paid on September 22, 2026, instead of the regular date on the 28th of the month—also an advance of 6 days. The allowances that will be advanced include old-age pensions, survivors' benefits, disability, disabled child, special services, mobility, work injury, alimony, rehabilitation, nursing care, and prisoners of Zion.
