Naftali Bennett on his financial situation: "I don't eat 5 steaks a day"
The former prime minister continues to increase his activity ahead of the elections. In an interview with Tikva Gideon and Adir Mizrahi, he spoke about his attitude toward money and his spending habits: "Lots and lots of vacations abroad."
Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who was considered a leading candidate to head the "change bloc" at the start of the election campaign before losing momentum with the rise of Gadi Eisenkot, continues to pick up the pace ahead of the elections. This is being achieved through interviews, podcast appearances, and field tours in Likud strongholds across the country.
As part of this outreach, Bennett appeared on the podcast hosted by "Big Brother" winner Tikva Gideon and internet personality Adir Mizrahi, where he shared details about his financial perspective.
During the conversation, Gideon asked Bennett: "Are you loaded?". Mizrahi followed up by asking: "Loaded with cash?". Bennett, appearing surprised, replied: "What does that mean?". Gideon explained that she was referring to someone who "lies on stacks of dollars."
"Look, I'll tell you something: I don't disregard money at all. I don't eat five steaks a day," Bennett replied.
Gideon countered: "But you could." Bennett did not deny this, subsequently explaining that for him, the main value money provides is freedom.
When asked if he had purchased any "toys" like a private jet or a helicopter, Bennett replied in the negative, but highlighted what he considers his significant expenses:
"What I do splurge on is books, and lots and lots of vacations with the family abroad."
Bennett is a businessman and former high-tech entrepreneur who accumulated significant personal wealth prior to entering politics, largely through the sale of startups he founded. His personal wealth is estimated at tens of millions of shekels.
