Indictment Filed Against Kafr Qasim Resident for Planning Amdocs Server Farm Attack
The State Attorney's Office indicted 20-year-old Mustafa Issa from Kafr Qasim for planning a nationalist-motivated terrorist attack against the Amdocs server farm in Ra'anana.
The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment on Thursday in the Central District Court against 20-year-old Mustafa Issa from Kafr Qasim, charging him with security offenses committed with nationalist motives.
According to the indictment, against the backdrop of the Swords of Iron war, Issa decided to carry out a terrorist attack against a strategic target in Israel. For about a year and a half, he planned to strike a target using an explosive device planted at the site or dropped from a drone.
The indictment states that Issa volunteered with the Fire and Rescue Services and used his activities there to scout and gather information on potential targets. He later decided to focus on the Amdocs server farm in Ra'anana, assessing that hitting the facility would cause significant economic and political damage.
As part of his preparations, Issa allegedly downloaded guides, files, and videos dealing with weapons manufacturing, explosive devices, and lone-wolf attack patterns. Prosecutors say he attempted to build a device by mixing combustible materials with the contents of fireworks and firecrackers, and later tried a sulfur and charcoal mixture before destroying it after a failed test.
Simultaneously, he purchased a drone and accessories designed to attach an explosive device to it, while watching instructional tutorials on the subject.
The indictment charges him with preparing a terrorist act, malicious damage with explosive material, weapons offenses for terrorist purposes, and training or instruction for terrorism.
The prosecution has asked the court to order his detention until the end of legal proceedings, citing his high level of danger given the prolonged planning and concrete steps taken.
