Walker Meghnagi, president of the Jewish Community of Milan, revealed the details of the harrowing incident to the Italian news agency ANSA. Describing the event as exceptionally grave, Meghnagi stated that such extreme violence is unprecedented in the area.
"I am ashamed of my country, if I am allowed to say so. I am ashamed of what is happening. He was simply waiting for a bus and was recognized by his clothing," Meghnagi said.
