Threatened with a knife, rammed vehicles, and fled: Police pursuit in the north
Large forces of the Carmel District police, YASAM, and municipal units conducted a pursuit of a suspect who endangered road users and fled from the police. Following a focused operational effort, he was located and arrested.
A 36-year-old resident of Isfiya was arrested following a dramatic and extensive manhunt by Carmel District police officers. The suspect allegedly threatened his sister with a knife, fled from the authorities, and drove recklessly, ramming vehicles and endangering road users. The court granted the police's request and extended his detention until Thursday.
The incident began yesterday morning when a report was received at the police station from a resident of Isfiya stating that her brother had threatened and chased her while armed with a knife.
Upon the arrival of police at the scene, the suspect entered his vehicle and fled. During the ensuing pursuit, the suspect drove recklessly, rammed vehicles, and posed a real danger to road users and police forces operating in the area.
Following his escape, large forces were deployed, roadblocks were set up, and various means were utilized to locate him. At the end of an extensive operation conducted by the Nesher station, led by the station commander, together with Carmel YASAM fighters, municipal police, and other units, the suspect was located and arrested. He was transferred for investigation, and his detention was extended by the court.
