Maytronics Recalls Niya Aquasweep S10 Pool Cleaner Over Fire Hazard
Maytronics issued a voluntary recall for the Niya Aquasweep S10 cordless pool cleaner due to a casing defect posing a fire hazard. Owners are urged to stop use immediately.
Maytronics Ltd. has issued a voluntary product recall for a black cordless handheld pool cleaner, model Niya Aquasweep S10 (SKU IL-9997301). The product, manufactured in China by Hongkong Yimu Technology Limited / Lydsto, was marketed in Israel between April 23, 2026, and August 14, 2026.
A failure analysis conducted by the manufacturer revealed that some units suffer from compromised mechanical strength in the device casing. This defect can lead to cracks and water penetration into the motor unit, posing risks of short circuits, overheating, and potential fire hazards.
Following the discovery, the company urges all owners to immediately cease using and charging the device. Until the importer collects the unit, users are advised to store it in a dry, ventilated area away from flammable materials and out of children's reach.
