Ibex Investors Closes $87 Million Secondary Fund for Israeli Tech
American firm Ibex Investors closes its sixth Israel-focused fund at over $87 million, targeting secondary investments in growth-stage local technology companies.

American investment firm Ibex Investors is expanding its footprint in the Israeli market, announcing the successful oversubscribed closing of its sixth Israel-focused fund, Ibex Secondary II LP, securing over $87 million. The new vehicle will focus primarily on secondary investments in growth-stage Israeli tech companies, purchasing shares directly from founders, employees, early funds, and initial investors.
Strategic Expansion and Leadership
Alongside the fund's closing, Ibex announced the appointment of Osnat Wellingard as the new fund's investment director. Operating from the firm's Tel Aviv offices, Wellingard will target high-growth local enterprises, joining local partners Aharon Rienberg and Adi Dangut-Zukovsky. Prior to joining Ibex, Wellingard spent five years as a growth investor at Susquehanna Growth Equity, managing investments across Israel and Europe.
Justin Borus, founder and chief investment officer of Ibex Investors, commented on the appointment:
We are thrilled to welcome Osnat to the team. Her extensive experience in growth-stage investments brings invaluable practical knowledge and significant capabilities to our local operations.
Borus noted that since October 7, 2023, Ibex has raised a total of $267 million dedicated to Israeli-focused funds, underscoring continued foreign confidence in the domestic market despite ongoing geopolitical challenges.
Robust Portfolio and Recent Exits
The latest secondary fund complements a growing suite of investment vehicles managed by Ibex. The firm's inaugural Israeli secondary fund raised $40 million in 2024, while Ibex Israel VC II secured $106 million the same year. Altogether, Ibex manages more than $1 billion globally across offices in Denver, Tel Aviv, and Silicon Valley.
Recent portfolio additions include cybersecurity firms Offroad AI and Reclaim Security, prop-tech startup LeanCon, travel-tech venture Localbird, and fintech player Viewz. Concurrently, Ibex realized several notable exits over the past year, highlighted by Datavant's acquisition of DigitalOwl, Check Point's buyout of Cyclops, and ServiceNow's purchase of Traceloop.
