A touching moment of relief came into the life of Maya Wertheimer after her toddler son, Noah, managed to eat a hard-boiled egg for the first time in his life under controlled medical supervision.

The beloved social media star, actress, and TV host documented her son—whom she shares with her husband, Asaf Zamir—and tearfully shared her overwhelming reaction to the breakthrough: "I burst into tears today until I had no tears left in my eyes. How I prayed for this moment."

The path to this milestone was fraught with fear and anxiety. Wertheimer described discovering the severe allergy when her son first tasted an omelet and began to swell up. Since then, they sought out specialists and began a careful exposure process led by her husband, accompanied by moments of intense terror: "Every time Noah swelled up, I stopped breathing too."

Alongside the treatments, Wertheimer shared an unpleasant incident from a parent-teacher meeting, when she encountered societal insensitivity. She recalled how another mother shouted out in the room, "Shit, who has an egg allergy?! This is going to be a nightmare with the cakes, right?"

Wertheimer described the sinking feeling at that moment: "My heart dropped. I was embarrassed, took a deep breath, looked her in the eyes, smiled, and said: My son." Despite being hurt, she chose not to hold a grudge, adding: "She is also human, and chances are that before I had children with allergies, I would have understood her. It is natural."

Concluding her remarks, the star addressed an important message to all parents, aiming to raise awareness about the real danger in public spaces: "How much we sometimes fail to realize that when we open a Bamba snack in the playground or eggs on the way to kindergarten, we are truly endangering other children."
