Avraham Arenson Cast in New Military Comedy Film The Best for Flying

Actor Avraham Arenson has been cast in the upcoming action-comedy film "The Best for Flying", where he will play a flight cadet, sources told mako. Directed by Alon Gur Arye, the film's production is set to begin soon and also features Yael Elkana and Shahar Hason, who will star in the lead role and reunite with Arenson after their previous collaboration on "Giv'at 338".

Hason will portray a schemer who gets a chance to avoid military prison by enlisting in a flight course as part of a social experiment conducted by the Israeli Air Force. He joins a group of entirely unsuitable candidates in what is described as a wild, action-packed parody of military films.

For Arenson, this adds to a wave of positive news following his marriage earlier this month to his partner of seven years, Hadar Wolnitz. It is not the first time the young actor has worn a uniform on screen: alongside "Giv'at 338", he currently stars as Yossi in the stage adaptation of "Yossi & Jagger"—a role originally played on film by Yehuda Levi—and previously portrayed the arrogant fighter Pogo in the series "Matoklistim".
