Max Stock CEO Ori Max's Salary to Jump by Over 50% to 7.8 Million NIS

Max Stock CEO Ori Max's annual compensation will surge by 51.8% to 7.8 million NIS after approval by shareholders. The discount chain recently reported strong Q2 financial results.

The salary of Ori Max, founder and CEO of the discount retail chain Max Stock, will jump by more than 50% starting next October. The company's shareholders' meeting approved the update to his compensation, which had remained unchanged for the past three years. To implement the salary update, the shareholders' meeting approved reopening the company's compensation policy, which was approved last year.

Max's monthly management fees will increase by 30.8% to 280,000 NIS, compared to 214,000 NIS today. Simultaneously, the annual net profit brackets determining his eligibility for a bonus were updated. The threshold will stand at 130-150 million NIS, and meeting it will entitle him to an annual bonus equal to 8-12 months of management fees. Max will also receive options and restricted shares valued at 5.2 million NIS.

Following the update to his compensation terms, his annual salary cost will rise by 51.8% to 7.8 million NIS, compared to 5.14 million NIS in 2025. Max holds a 16.5% stake in the company, which trades at a market capitalization of 4.8 billion NIS, making his holding worth 800 million NIS. The company operates 65 discount retail branches. In the second quarter of the year, its revenues rose by about 13% to 379 million NIS. Gross profit climbed by 21.3% to approximately 178 million NIS, with its share of sales rising to 47.1%, compared to 43.8% in the parallel quarter. The company's net profit in the second quarter rose by 35.7% to 32.6 million NIS.
