Panel members on Keshet 12’s The Masked Singer spend long hours together, turning episode after episode into something like one big family. And like in any close-knit group, unexpected — and especially funny — incidents sometimes break out.

A “helping” moment that went sideways

In Tuesday’s episode, after the news, a brief moment involving Bar Refaeli and Ofira Asayag quickly became a highlight. While the panel was trying to figure out who was hiding behind the mask, Refaeli noticed a small insect flying around the table.

She tried to deal with it, but the scene escalated fast: the insect ended up in Asayag’s hands — and she didn’t react the way Refaeli expected. In a joking tone, Asayag said, "I need a splint. She broke my mouth — and two of my fingernails on two fingers."

The panel turns the incident into a running gag

Asayag continued to play along, adding, "She kills bugs in the middle of my fingernails, and I need my nails." She then quipped that if she left the set without a hand, Asayag would be to blame.

"If I leave here without a hand, she’s the one at fault," she said. "She’ll take me to Ichilov."

The moment was impossible to ignore, and stand-up comedian Shahar Hasson leaned into the joke, adding fuel to the laughter: "Maybe she tried to kill you, Ofira."
