Since October 7, thousands of IDF reservists returning from the front lines have faced complex challenges: reintegrating into the competitive job market, resuming academic studies, and striving to return to normalcy. Out of this crisis, the "Masiatech" association was established to provide a helping hand and ensure that fighters are not left behind.

The initiative was launched by three senior executives: Or Bar-Tal (Epilog), Lior Wechsler (a marketing entrepreneur), and Avishai Korkus (Check Point). "We harnessed the Start-Up Nation to solve one of the most important problems—giving our reservists, the most precious people to us, a workplace and a return to routine," explains co-founder Or.

360-Degree Support and Hundreds of Mentors

Behind the operation lies a 360-degree support framework managed by over 40 senior industry professionals operating across eight departments. The process includes personal mentoring and 1:1 matching with a senior mentor until employment is secured, weekly workshops, direct connections to companies through the career center, as well as entrepreneur guidance and a support network for alumni.

Field data shows that over 4,000 reservists are registered for the program, accompanied by more than 500 senior mentors from companies such as Nvidia, Google, and Microsoft. To date, over 450 reservists have found employment through personal mentoring, and hundreds more have integrated into the industry thanks to the comprehensive framework.

"They know how to connect you with someone who makes you believe in yourself," shares Rom, a program graduate.

Rom adds: "After returning from reserve duty, I wasn't ready for a job search. Or helped me submit my resume and prepare for interviews. This is one of the things that made me say 'I am worth something, they do want to see me.' This is the uniqueness of the association—they know how to connect you with the person who will make you believe in yourself."

Roi also testifies to the process he underwent in the project: "When I searched alone, I was groping in the dark, and after working with my mentor, I understood what I am good at and what my passion is. His tips always helped me not to fall and always picked me up after failures." Alongside him, many reservists report a renewed sense of security.
