The Shin Bet and the Israel Police revealed on Friday that 32-year-old Hamdan Hamdan, a resident of Majd al-Krum, was recently arrested on suspicion of security offenses, including contact with a foreign agent and carrying out security missions under foreign direction.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Hamdan maintained contact with a foreign agent from Lebanon for several months, fully aware of her identity, and was tasked with executing security assignments. In exchange, attempts were made to compensate him by purchasing goods in Israel for his benefit. The investigation was accompanied by the Haifa District Prosecutor's Office and conducted jointly by the National Unit for International Investigations (YAHABAL) in Lahav 433 and the Shin Bet. An indictment will be filed against him on Sunday.

Security agencies reiterated their warning to Israeli citizens and residents against communicating with hostile foreign operatives or unknown entities, especially regarding security tasks or espionage for payment. Authorities emphasized that intelligence and terror organizations from enemy states continue efforts to recruit Israelis via social media during the ongoing war.
