Turbulence at Maccabi Tel Aviv: following Friday's heavy defeat to Panathinaikos, the Yellows returned home early in the morning and face a grueling schedule with almost no rest before playing Hapoel Jerusalem as early as tomorrow in the Winner Cup semifinal.

Various club sources fear that the current roster will struggle to meet the primary goals set for the season—at least reaching the play-in and remaining competitive in the EuroLeague—and are calling for an immediate roster shakeup. At this stage, things cannot be left to chance. There are severe internal problems that must be fixed before it is too late.

Among the players absorbing heavy criticism is German center Daniel Theis, whose medical condition reportedly remains less than fully recovered. Maccabi will wait a short while longer before deciding whether to make changes in the frontcourt.

Additionally, the club will search for a sharpshooter to balance the backcourt, which has struggled from beyond the arc, and will evaluate the possibility of adding a player without cutting someone from the existing squad.
