The organization from the Gaza Strip that tried to mediate between the Houthis and forces in Yemen | Report

Sources in Yemen reported to the Lebanese newspaper "Al-Akhbar", affiliated with Hezbollah, that the "Al-Islah" party, which belongs to the "Muslim Brotherhood" organization and is part of the Yemeni parliament and forces, initiated several internal and external mediation efforts with the Houthis – with Hamas being the most prominent mediator among them.

The mediation efforts of "Al-Islah" came following fears of a large-scale attack against them by the Houthi terrorist organization, which has recently begun to expand the conflict. Hamas, which also belongs to the "Muslim Brotherhood" and has strengthened its ties with Iranian elements in recent years, including the Houthis, was seen as the appropriate organization to carry out the mediation.

Ultimately, Hamas's mediation did not succeed. Several sources from the terrorist organization controlling Sana'a added that the decision to escalate the situation has not yet been made, but it has not been ruled out either. The campaign between the parties is currently focused on the city of Marib, located east of Sana'a. "Al-Islah" is the force controlling the city, but they fear that after several small skirmishes, the Houthis are about to launch a powerful attack on the city that will cause it to fall into their hands.

The news about the mediation comes at a time when the conflict between the Houthis, the Saudi forces, and the Yemeni government continues to escalate in other parts of the country. Recently, a Yemeni military source reported that a Houthi drone attack was directed for the first time in the current escalation against positions of government forces in the Hadhramaut region in southeastern Yemen. The source added on Thursday that two people were killed and 15 were wounded in the Houthi attack.
