IDF Eliminates Hamas Operatives Trying to Steal Tunnel Drills in Gaza
IDF troops eliminated two Hamas operatives who attempted to steal tunnel-drilling equipment in the southern Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, the military and Shin Bet destroyed multiple weapons depots containing rockets and RPGs.
Two Hamas operatives attempted to steal specialized drilling equipment used by the Combat Engineering Corps to locate underground tunnels in the southern Gaza Strip. Troops identified the suspects and eliminated them on the spot as they tried to take the equipment.
According to the IDF, forces operating in the southern Gaza Strip identified two suspects crossing the operational line and attempting to sabotage military infrastructure, posing an immediate threat. An aircraft was dispatched, striking and eliminating the two operatives with precision.
Simultaneously, the IDF and Shin Bet destroyed three Hamas weapons depots across the Gaza Strip over the past few days. This operation follows an ongoing policy to degrade Hamas capabilities, which has recently targeted dozens of storage facilities, production laboratories, and workshops used for military buildup.
The military confirmed that the targeted warehouses contained dozens of weapons of various types, including RPGs, launchers, rockets, Kalashnikov assault rifles, and additional combat equipment. Prior warnings were issued to the nearby population, and precision munitions were used to minimize civilian casualties.
