Inside a business: Ashdod police detectives uncovered an illegal gambling complex

Ashdod station detectives uncovered a location used for illegal gambling in the city; several individuals involved were detained for questioning.

As part of the fight against crime, Ashdod station detectives executed a search warrant at a complex in the city, during which a business operating as an illegal gambling house was uncovered. The business owner and several players were located at the scene. During the operation, exhibits suspected of being used for operating and managing illegal gambling were seized, including computers, money, and additional equipment.

Ronen Amram, commander of the Ashdod station, stated:

"We will continue to act proactively and in a focused manner against illegal gambling hubs, which can serve as a fertile ground for criminal activity. The operation we carried out today is part of our ongoing fight against crime. We will continue to work to locate those involved, seize the means used to commit the offenses, and bring the suspects in for questioning and prosecution."

The individuals caught at the scene were detained for questioning at the police station, and the investigation is ongoing.
