Fighting crime in Rahat
The incident joins a series of police raids throughout the city as part of the fight against illegal weapon possession and delinquency. The day before yesterday, Tuesday, a police raid on a kindergarten in Rahat was reported. During the search, weapons and ammunition were found inside two bags. A Glock-type pistol and 5.56 mm caliber ammunition were concealed in the bags. After tracking down the suspects, two residents of the city, aged 38 and 40, were arrested and transferred along with the findings for further investigation and handling at the Rahat station.
In another criminal case, a seizure was carried out yesterday of young people aged 18, 19, and 20, while they were traveling in a Porsche vehicle stolen from the north of the country. The officers noticed the luxury vehicle during an operation by the Rahat station against property crimes. The Porsche aroused their suspicion and they stopped it for inspection.
