Lied Katorza has only just completed his mandatory military service, and he is already preparing to return to uniform—this time on the big screen. According to a report published on Mako, the son of comedian Israel Katorza has been cast in his first film role in the upcoming movie "Hatovim Le-Tis".

A New Star in a Military Comedy

Katorza Jr., who was discharged from the IDF this month, will portray Yurai, an 18-year-old flight cadet who might not excel in standout skills but enjoys the benefits of connections. The military comedy, directed by Alon Gur Arie and produced by United King Films, follows a group of unsuitable candidates who find themselves in a flight course as part of a social experiment.

"My father helps me prepare for auditions and he is the most supportive person in the world," Katorza previously shared.

The star-studded cast also features Shahar Hasaan in the lead role as a fixer who gets a chance to escape military prison by joining the course. Alongside him, the film stars Michelle Pro, Yael Elkana, Avraham Arenson, and Maor Schwitzer. Content creator Kim Churilov has also been cast as a flight cadet in her acting debut, alongside stand-up comedian Ori Bruir.

Expanding Horizons in Acting and Music

Katorza is no stranger to television, having appeared alongside his father in "Ma She-Ba?", starring in three seasons of "Sheli Ha-Koveshet", and later joining "United High". Aside from his burgeoning acting career, Katorza harbors ambitions in music, writing, composing, and playing the guitar and piano. Production on the long-anticipated film is currently gearing up, though an official release date has not yet been announced.
