Hapoel Jerusalem Demands Training Compensation from Hapoel Tel Aviv for Khadeen Carrington
The Jerusalem club is demanding compensation from the league runners-up, who signed the naturalized player after his four-year tenure with the capital side before he joined Dimitris Itoudis' squad.
For four years, Khadeen Carrington starred for Hapoel Jerusalem before signing with Hapoel Tel Aviv this summer. Now, the Reds from the capital are demanding training compensation from the runners-up and have sent a letter requesting the details of the guard's contract with Dimitris Itoudis' team to calculate the amount owed.
According to the Jerusalem side, Israel Basketball Association regulations grant the right to transfer or training compensation to a team for which a player has played for at least three consecutive years in the Super League. During his four seasons at Hapoel Jerusalem, Carrington (30, 1.93 m) won the State Cup twice, the Winner Cup twice, and the Israeli Super Cup once.
The guard, who represents the Israeli national team and was part of the recent campaign for the blue-and-whites in the EuroBasket and World Cup qualifiers, previously played for Mornar Bar, Limburg, Ludwigsburg, Monaco, Betis, and Dijon before arriving in Israel. During his four years in the Super League, Carrington averaged 13.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in the regular season. In the last EuroCup season, the player averaged 14.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.
