Maccabi Tel Aviv fans raise donations: "Doing good in yellow"

The "Ahim LaSemel" association and the Maccabi Foundation are launching the 14th year of "Doing good in yellow," the largest volunteering and mutual responsibility initiative of the yellow community from Tel Aviv. Thousands of food packages, over 1,000 volunteers, and one goal: to reach the doorsteps of those in need ahead of the holiday.

Ahead of Rosh Hashanah 5787, the project, which has become a tradition for the community, is once again uniting fans, families, and donors. The initiative aims to turn the power of a large community into real help for thousands of people across the country.

The project begins with a broad fundraising campaign, with the participation of dozens of ambassadors and volunteers. With the funds raised, food products are purchased, from which thousands of holiday packages are assembled.

The highlight of the operation is a huge community packing event, in which over 1,000 volunteers participate—from players to children and teenagers. However, the work does not end when the box is closed. Volunteers set out for distribution across the country, delivering the packages directly to the doorsteps of families in need, lone soldiers, Holocaust survivors, and lonely elderly people.

Although the project was born from within the yellow community, the help itself does not distinguish between colors. The association stated:

"We are proud of our yellow, but when it comes to giving, there are no colors and no stands. Our community proves that its strength is measured not only by how loudly we cheer, but also by how much we are able to be there for others. This Rosh Hashanah, we want to reach thousands of doors again and remind those behind them that they are not alone."
