Israel Railways Announces Changes at Tel Aviv HaShalom Station
Starting next Tuesday, significant changes will affect passenger flow at the busy station due to comprehensive upgrade works, with access to one of the central platforms being temporarily restricted.

As part of the thirtieth anniversary of the inauguration of the Tel Aviv HaShalom railway station, which has served approximately 250 million passengers, and in preparation for an expected increase in ridership to 100 million by 2030, Israel Railways is upgrading the station's facilities.
Israel Railways announced this morning (Sunday) that it will soon install new escalators in the northern passenger hall, replacing the original units that have been in service since 1996.
The installation will be carried out without disrupting the station's ongoing operations or train schedules. The first phase involves installing the escalator leading from the northern passenger hall (adjacent to the Azrieli Center) to platform 1.
Due to these works, temporary changes to passenger flow will be in effect from 20:00 on August 25 through August 29. During this period, it will not be possible to descend from the northern hall to platform 1 (trains heading north). Passengers may use the southern passenger hall, which will operate as usual, or access platforms 2 and 3 from all available halls.
The new escalators will be opened for public use once all necessary operating permits are obtained from the relevant authorities. Further upgrades to the station are planned for the coming period, and updates regarding future changes will be provided in advance.
