LeBron James Reveals Why He Joined Philadelphia 76ers

LeBron James has opened a new chapter of his career in Philadelphia, and is now revealing what drove his decision to join the 76ers. In a new episode of the 'Mind the Game' podcast, James explained that he wants to pass on the 'recipe' for winning at the highest level to Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, helping Philadelphia finally complete 'The Process'.

Later, LeBron shared that the desire to help Embiid win his first career championship was a significant factor in his move to Philadelphia. 'He has done everything in our league,' James said. 'The only thing he hasn't done yet is win a championship, and I want to try to help him win his first. He has been the league MVP, he has a gold medal, All-Star appearances, his own shoe, a lot of money, a beautiful family. He has everything. He carries the city on his back.'

James also addressed the slogan that has accompanied Philadelphia for over a decade, 'Trust the Process', stating: 'It has been "The Process" for what, ten years, 12 years, or however long he has been there. I think now is the time to dive even deeper into that process.'

According to James, he hopes the experience he has accumulated throughout his career will help Embiid take the missing step: 'I hope I can be the final small piece that helps him get over the hurdle, and maybe see things a bit differently than he has throughout his career - in terms of the daily work and what it takes to get there.'
