Maccabi Haifa issues a serious warning to fans ahead of the match: "Do not arrive alone"
The green team will face Bnei Sakhnin tonight as part of the Toto Cup matches. The club published recommendations for fans to prevent violent incidents in the stadium area - something that has happened in the past.
Maccabi Haifa, owned by businessman Yaakov Shahar, will face one of the most fateful matches in its history tonight (Friday). As part of the Toto Cup, the team will play against Bnei Sakhnin at the Doha Stadium, and in light of this, the green team published a series of guidelines for the match.
After a riot broke out in a restaurant near the stadium in November 2025, and Maccabi Haifa fans claimed they were attacked and that sticks and stones were thrown at them, the club issued an explicit recommendation not to arrive alone in the stadium area to prevent similar incidents.
"Following a discussion between the parties involved, it was decided to reduce the ticket price for the visiting crowd, and only 500 tickets were allocated to Maccabi Haifa fans," the official statement from the Haifa club read. Furthermore, they placed a major emphasis on the safety of the fans: "For safety reasons, it is recommended to arrive in groups of three fans or more," the message stated ahead of the meeting between the teams.
Maccabi Haifa seeks to minimize as much as possible situations where fans might find themselves in unpleasant incidents while walking alone in the area before or after the match.
As a reminder, recently, Maccabi Haifa parted ways with its captain and one of its pillars in recent years, Dolev Haziza, after 7 years.
