Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps: 'Americans are "blind" to our attacks'

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced today (Monday) that they used surveillance methods that their rivals could not identify to carry out precise attacks against military positions and vessels.

Iran continues its belligerent rhetoric while the Donald Trump administration focuses on announcements of an "economic blockade" and new sanctions on the country. The organization's spokesperson, Hossein Mohebbi, said that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked targets "once or twice a week," and claimed that missiles that hit military positions and critical sections of ships demonstrated intelligence capabilities.

"Surveillance by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is not currently carried out using satellites that they identify. It is carried out using another method that they may not yet be able to identify," the spokesperson explained.

Mohebbi also said that the Revolutionary Guard destroyed the radars and surveillance network of the rivals, leaving them "blind." "If we cannot see in the darkness of the night over the Persian Gulf, which is about 50 kilometers wide, how can we attack with precision? That is a question the Americans should ask themselves," he said.

"Excessive demands"

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei also used belligerent rhetoric and said that Iran will not allow the war to end "on the aggressor's terms." Baghaei described the US naval blockade as an "act of aggression" and said that Tehran is not helpless to respond.

"We did not start this war and did not seek it, and we used all available means to prevent it," he said. Baghaei stated that no official in the Islamic Republic was prepared to surrender to what he described as the excessive demands of Iran's rivals.

He added that the United States, despite saying it intends to help the Iranian people, is using all available means to harm them.
