The famous singer on the financial crisis: "I haven't paid rent for two months"
The rapper stood before the cameras of "HaTzinor" and spoke about a deep financial crisis, massive expenses of tens of thousands of shekels a month, the sharp conflict with Erez Isakov, and the scathing criticism of his exclusion from the music industry: "I am not miserable, I will go out to work."
In an interview he gave to the program "HaTzinor" on Reshet 13, Ron Nesher laid all his cards on the table and elaborated on the financial crisis he has fallen into. The rapper, who is joining the new season of "Goalstar", confronted the gap between his success on social media and reality:
"Not all that glitters is gold. I am here to hold up a mirror to you, even when it applies to me — I haven't paid rent for two months."
Nesher detailed the burden of family expenses: "Should I be ashamed? Half the country is not making ends meet, my 'not making ends meet' is 45 thousand shekels every month. I have four children, a wife, extracurricular activities, matters." He added that a head-on collision forced him to replace his car: "If I don't put money into fixing it right now, I can't — so I had to call my landlord."
According to him, he is ready to deal with the situation in any way: "I am not miserable, I have hands, I have legs, I will go out to work. Just like Omri Kanda, just like others, I am not ashamed." He explained that the need to provide for his family led him to the screen: "Why did I agree to reality TV? The Big Brother knows very well how many times I refuse. You want to leave them an environment, be the change you want to see."
The conflict with Erez Isakov
Nesher also addressed the publicized conflict with Erez Isakov, which occurred around the filming of the program. Nesher called him a "bully" and claimed that Isakov humiliated another participant. The rapper took a jab at Isakov for only reaching second place in the program he participated in ("You came in second place in climbing the stairs"), and disparaged his businesses: "A clothing company of his own, a model... a jewelry company that sells jewelry that isn't jewelry."
The anger over "Black Gold"
In addition, Nesher launched a sharp attack against the creators of the documentary series "Black Gold" for not including him. Nesher claimed that the interviewees in the series "had no influence outside their own home," and added: "I have given more stages here than any other person in this country... I have become one of the busiest and most unemployed writers in Israel."
Nesher's current exposure comes as a direct continuation of things he said in a podcast about a struggle that has been ongoing since 2019. In that conversation, he described the heavy responsibility as the head of a family with four children, the lack of peace of mind for creation, and the price of his direct character that deters advertisers. At the same time, the confrontation with Isakov has escalated recently after Erez Isakov announced a defamation lawsuit in the amount of hundreds of thousands of shekels. Isakov declared that he would donate the winnings to children who experience boycotts, while Nesher responded with disdain and expressed full confidence ahead of the legal process.
