National Insurance Institute distributes allowances and expands rent assistance program

The National Insurance Institute (Bituach Leumi), tasked with providing financial aid and social protection to the citizens of Israel, regularly updates the public on the distribution schedule for various benefits.

Today, Friday, the institute is distributing long-term allowances intended to provide ongoing financial support. These include old-age pensions, disability benefits, long-term care allowances, survivor benefits, and income support payments.

Yesterday, Thursday, the National Insurance Institute issued a reminder on social media regarding a joint initiative with the Ministry of Construction and Housing designed to identify citizens eligible for rent assistance.

"You may not have known, but we have established a first-of-its-kind cooperation with the Ministry of Construction and Housing to ensure no eligible citizen misses out on the rent assistance they are entitled to. We have identified benefit recipients who qualify for this aid and have sent text messages to those eligible with instructions on how to claim their rights," the statement read.

According to the institute's official website, text messages are being sent to approximately 40,000 citizens identified as potential candidates for rent assistance. The purpose of this outreach is to encourage the realization of these rights and guide citizens through the application process.
