National Insurance Institute announces changes to benefit payment dates
Reporting and insurance premium payment deadlines for the self-employed and employers have been adjusted due to the Sabbath. Most monthly benefits are expected to be deposited into accounts earlier than scheduled.
August has arrived, and the National Insurance Institute is distributing grants and benefits to hundreds of thousands of eligible Israelis. The ice website provides a summary of the August payment schedule, reporting deadlines, and the recent increase in average benefit amounts.
Unemployment benefits and income support were the first to be distributed on August 12. The reporting and insurance premium payment deadline for the self-employed and employers, typically falling on the 15th, has been moved to August 16 due to the Sabbath.
Child allowances are scheduled for distribution on August 20. Other benefits originally set for August 28 (a Friday) will be paid one day earlier, on Thursday, August 27.

The National Insurance Institute also reported that average benefit payments have risen by 2.64% since the beginning of 2026, driven by the Consumer Price Index. The current average benefit amount across all categories is approximately 5,280 shekels.
