September is at the doorstep, and the National Insurance Institute in Israel is preparing for the distribution of benefits to those eligible. Due to the upcoming holidays, changes will be made regarding the distribution of funds to millions of beneficiaries.
In honor of Rosh Hashanah 5787, the National Insurance Institute announces the advancement of the payment date for unemployment and income support benefits for September. These funds will be paid on 8.9.2026.
Furthermore, in honor of the Sukkot 5787 holiday, the payment of long-term benefits will be advanced to 22.9.2026. The benefits affected include: old-age, survivors, work injury, alimony, disability, mobility, nursing, and prisoners of Zion.
Meanwhile, the reporting and payment date for insurance premiums for the self-employed and employers falls on 15.9. Child benefits are expected to reach the accounts of eligible recipients on 20.9, the eve of Yom Kippur.
As of the beginning of 2026, the average benefit amount has increased due to a 2.64% rise in the Consumer Price Index. The average benefit amount for all categories, following the latest update, is approximately 5,280 shekels.
