A 19-year-old suspect was arrested this morning, Thursday, on suspicion of involvement in the violent attack that took place last Saturday in the village of Qusra in Samaria. The suspect, a resident of the area, was transferred for interrogation, and later the police are expected to ask the court to extend his detention.
The suspect was on the run and was located at a construction site in one of the settlements in the area. The police and the Shin Bet continue to work to locate the rest of the suspects who were involved in the incident, but note that the investigation is complex, partly because some of the rioters were masked.
The arrest was carried out in a joint operation by detectives of the inter-agency headquarters of the Judea and Samaria District, the Shin Bet, and fighters of the Samaria YASAM unit.
The joint investigation team of the police and the Shin Bet continues to collect evidence and take testimonies, using technological means, with the aim of locating and arresting additional suspects who participated in the attack and bringing them to justice.
