May Hatuel (32) and her husband Itay announced last month that they were splitting up, four years after their wedding and after eight years together. However, the 'Amazing Race' star is not wasting a single moment ahead of the next chapter in her life. Hatuel decided to leave the familiar and safe to move into a charming Jaffa apartment. The one who will spend the nights with her (and receive all her love) is the dog she shared with her ex, Leo, who stayed with her.

"Leo and I signed for the new apartment," the reality star wrote in a story she uploaded today to her Instagram account.

In light of what she told us in a candid interview with mako, this is completely new territory for her. "I haven't known myself alone for eight years, and I am currently focusing on understanding who I am when I am alone," she said, not hesitating to reveal the real difficulty that comes with breaking up a home. "I think going to sleep alone... that's where all the thoughts and feelings come. And today when I go to sleep alone, the brain works and there are stages to this sadness."

The dramatic decision to split up came after a long period of deliberation and emerged from what Hatuel defined as a family crossroads, admitting that the discourse started with a discussion about children. According to her, they reached an age where the environment pressures them to start a family, which led them to ask themselves honestly if they were ready for it, or if there were issues in the relationship that needed to be solved first—a mature discourse that eventually led to the understanding that it was best for them to separate, a month after Hatuel revealed in mako's 'Spill It' that children were not on her mind at the moment.

Someone who was quick to react to the matter and created a storm, let us recall, is Dana Zarmon, who declared on air that the news of the divorce did not surprise anyone. This is while her partner in the race and former close friend of Hatuel, Itay On, kept a deafening silence and did not even bother to text her. Alongside this, the one who turned out to be her great defender is actually her husband from whom she is separating, Itay; in a personal correspondence that Hatuel uploaded immediately after the separation, when she told him that she prefers to ignore the talkbacks, Itay replied to her firmly: "Let them all die."

May for her part concluded: "My ex-husband is the king of the world. Always was and always will be."
