Widow of Arnon Zamora shares exciting news: "Pulse at two hundred"

Michal, widow of Israel's hero Arnon Zamora (of blessed memory), shared on Monday the exciting news that pre-sales for her book, 'Greater than the sum of my parts', have begun. According to Michal, the journey to writing it started a little over a year ago when she attended a writing retreat for war widows.

"I discovered that through writing I manage to organize my soul, and there was plenty to organize," she said.

Two months later, she met a Yom Kippur War widow who told her she was writing for the drawer. "I told her about the retreat and said that I was also thinking of writing but didn't know how to start, and she said: 'You just start'." Immediately after that meeting, she went to her study, opened her computer, and began.

At first, she didn't know the writing would become a book, and even when she realized it, she wasn't sure she wanted to publish it. But she felt how the words were organizing her heart, creating a two-way movement between her feelings and her writing. At times, the process was dismantling and Sisyphean, while at other times it filled her with pride and joy. Throughout the journey, however, it felt right.

She also spoke about the emotional creative process:

"Yesterday morning, in a place called the 'Bindery', they bound my book; from there it went to the warehouses and then to the stores. On the shelves of bookstores across the country, my heart will be laid out so that you can read it if you want. And I hope you will want to."

In the end, she shared honestly: "It is scary to be exposed like this, especially after I worked so hard to return to the quiet. But in order to win this life and live it to the fullest, one needs courage, and I choose to be brave."
