Channel 14 Unveils Massive Studio and Tech for 26th Knesset Elections
Channel 14 unveiled a 1,000-square-meter election studio for the 26th Knesset elections, featuring advanced real-time coalition scenario technology and live broadcasts.
Channel 14 unveiled its special preparations for the upcoming 26th Knesset elections, introducing a new 1,000-square-meter studio described as the largest election studio in Israel. In addition to the new facility, the network is preparing for live broadcasts from various locations across the country, with the flagship program 'HaPatriotim' hosted by Yinon Magal playing a central role in the coverage.
According to the network's announcement, the new studio features physical set designs rather than relying solely on virtual screens and backgrounds. At its center stands a large election table where news anchors and commentators will gather throughout the main broadcast, alongside continuous reports from party headquarters and key locations.
One of the main innovations announced by the network is the use of technology that will allow real-time presentation of various government formation scenarios. Using the new system, viewers will be able to track seat distribution among parties, evaluate the status of political blocs, and examine coalition options for candidates based on incoming data.
The network stated that this is one of the world's most advanced technologies for presenting coalition scenarios, though technical specifications were not detailed. Significant resources were also invested in studio design and lighting, featuring smart lighting systems and advanced sliding mechanisms to allow visual changes during the live broadcast.
In addition to the studio, 'HaPatriotim' hosted by Yinon Magal is scheduled to broadcast from a special compound at the International Convention Center in Jerusalem, where the Likud election headquarters will also operate. According to the schedule, a special episode will air at 21:00, an hour before polls close, followed by the exit polls at 22:00 and continuous analysis throughout the night.
