Following Benny Gantz's withdrawal from the race for the 26th Knesset, the Reservists and Economic Party, led by Yoaz Hendel and Prof. Yaron Zelecha, is actively working to absorb displaced activists and voters. Party officials report a significant influx of former Blue and White grassroots organizers and volunteers.

Expanding Grassroots Support

In recent days, Hendel and Zelecha met with leaders of Blue and White's Ethiopian community headquarters, who officially endorsed the party. Additional volunteers have signed up for ballot box monitoring. The party has also tailored its targeted digital advertising campaigns to reach demographics previously aligned with Gantz.

Simultaneously, party representatives have reportedly urged Gantz to publicly endorse Hendel, arguing that he is the sole candidate capable of forming a Zionist government independent of Haredi and Arab factions.

Gantz's Withdrawal and Call for Unity

Last week at Kfar Maccabiah, Blue and White leader Benny Gantz announced his departure from electoral politics, urging cross-block unity.

"With a heavy heart and out of a sense of responsibility, I have decided this evening to withdraw my candidacy for the 26th Knesset," Gantz stated. "I have never abandoned a battle, and in the battle for unity, I am not turning my back."

Taking responsibility for failing to secure sufficient electoral backing, Gantz emphasized that the necessity for a broad Zionist unity government remains paramount despite his exit.
