Katzrin Students Launch Intergenerational Podcast Project to Preserve Local History
Students in Katzrin launched the "Kanfayim" project, partnering with the town's founders to produce a podcast series documenting local history for the golden jubilee.

Students at the Bnei Akiva Ulpana in Katzrin have launched the "Kanfayim" project, bridging generations by connecting eighth-grade girls with the town's founding members. The initiative focuses on documenting local history and preserving the legacy of the Golan Heights settlement's pioneers.
Participants will undergo practical training in communications, covering research, interviewing techniques, writing, and studio sound engineering. The collaboration will culminate in a special podcast series chronicling the founders' life stories and Aliyah experiences, to be broadcast on Radio Katzrin as part of the town's golden jubilee celebrations.
Elchanan Glat, CEO of the Bnei Akiva Yeshivot and Ulpanot Center, emphasized the educational value of the project. He noted that understanding one's roots is essential for looking toward the future, praising the opportunity for students to hear firsthand accounts of building the community from the ground up.
