Parod Junction Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Trafficking Indictment
A routine traffic stop at Parod Junction led to the arrest of a 23-year-old driver from Shlomi, charged with running multiple drug deals via Telegram.

A routine traffic stop at the Parod Junction led to a major drug arrest after officers smelled cannabis and discovered large quantities of drugs and over 10,000 shekels in cash inside the vehicle. The 23-year-shi driver from Shlomi claimed to hold a medical cannabis license, but further investigation revealed a different story.
According to the Israel Police, the suspect was arrested on October 7 during proactive operations by Northern District officers. The indictment states that the driver used the Telegram app to contact buyers, meet them, and execute five separate drug transactions for cash.
His detention was extended periodically, and on October 14, the police prosecution unit filed an official indictment against him at the Kiryat Shmona court, alongside a request to forfeit the seized cash.
